Hailed by the Washington Post as a “young artist demonstrating maturity and elegance,” French pianist Olivier Moulin studied with Eric Heidsieck and Géry Moutier at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon where he won a first prize unanimously and with the congratulations of the jury. After an advanced training course within the same institution, he continued his training in Austria at the Mozarteum in Salzburg in the classes of Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Clemens Hagen where he was awarded the “Master of Arts” with the highest distinctions. Throughout his studies, he also benefited from the enlightened advice of masters such as Aldo Ciccolini, Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen, Jacques Rouvier, Jean-François Heisser, Sergio Perticaroli...

Noted during a competition organized by Radio-France where he won the first prize of the Kingdom of Music, Olivier Moulin is also a winner of the Epinal International Piano Competition, the Jeunesses Musicales de France prize, the International Academy Maurice Ravel... He also receives support from the Mécénat Musical Société Générale and the “Déclic” program of the Institut Français promoting the promotion of young French musicians abroad.

He is then the guest of major international festivals: La Roque d'Anthéron, Montpellier and Radio-France, Lille Clef de Soleil, Pianos Follies du Touquet, Journees lyriques de Chartres, Divonne, Sully-sur-Loire, la Vézère, Festival Crossings in China, Virtuosi Festival in Brazil, International Piano Festival En Blanco y Negro in Mexico, Lisztomanias in Istanbul, Motley Tulip International Arts Festival in Belarus, Bellapais International Festival in Cyprus...

He has performed in prestigious venues: in France (Grand Auditorium de Radio-France, Salle Gaveau, Salle Cortot, Unesco, Auditorium du Louvre, Opéras de Lyon and Avignon, Cloître des Jacobins de Toulouse, Théâtre des Variétés de Monaco, Metz Arsenal...), in Europe (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Spain, Hungary, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey...), in Asia (Japan, China, South Korea, India, Indonesia...), as well as on the American continent (United States, Brazil, Mexico). His concerts are regularly broadcast by radio and television in France and abroad. Olivier made his American debut in 2014 at the French Embassy in Washington DC, where he gave a recital devoted to Rameau, Debussy and Ravel.

He has also collaborated with several orchestras: the Metz National Orchestra, the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra (China), the Camerata de Coahuila (Mexico)... His passion for chamber music led him to share the stage with many artists such as David Guerrier, the Fine Arts Quartet, the soloists of the Philharmonic of Radio-France, Bertrand Chamayou, Jérôme Dorival... He has participated on several occasions, alongside Eve Ruggieri, in conferences/concerts around from the life of Frédéric Chopin. His first solo album, dedicated to Franz Liszt, was released in October 2011 under the AmeSon/Codaex label.

Olivier Moulin is Professor of piano at the CRR du Grand Nancy, and President of the Epinal International Piano Competition. He regularly gives master classes in Europe, the United States, Mexico, Japan, China... and regularly sits on the competition jury. international piano competitions: Istanbul, Porto Santa Cecilia, Scriabin in Grosseto, Sviatoslav Richter International Piano Competition…
