Marianne Legendre began her musical studies in Normandy, first at the CRD (École Nationale de Musique) in Le Havre (piano, oboe, chamber music, dance, orchestra), then at the CRR (CNR) in Rouen and Boulogne-Billancourt, before joining the CNSMD in Paris for her post-graduate studies (oboe, chamber music, instrumental pedagogy), where she studied notably with Maurice Bourgue, David Walter, Jean-Louis Capezzali and Jacques Tys.
After graduating in oboe and chamber music (DNSM), she went on to win international competitions (Toulon, Prague, Tokyo, Berne), alongside her orchestral career (Orchestre National de France, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, Orchestre de l'Opéra National de Paris, Ensemble Orchestral de Paris), which also took her to Germany (Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchester, Museum Orchester Frankfurt, Frankfurt Opera) and the Netherlands.
She is also a prizewinner in the Concours du Festival d'Automne de Jeunes Interprètes (France), which has led her to perform as a soloist (concertos by Bach, Vivaldi, Marcello, Mozart, Strauss).
As a chamber musician, she has been a member of the Quintette Arnold (winner of the Illzach chamber music competition), the Trio de Poche (1CD recorded) and the Quintette L (1CD of French music).
She has also performed in recital with piano, harpsichord and organ, and solo concertos with orchestra.
Solo English horn and oboe with the Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine, then the Orchestre National d'Ile de France (conductors: Jacques Mercier, Yoël Levi, Enrique Mazzola).
Full professor at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental de Bourg-la-Reine/Sceaux (Hauts-de-Seine), holder of the Certificat d'Aptitude à l'Enseignement (oboe professor), she has also taught at the CRDs of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Evry and Le Mans, as well as at the Conservatoire du 7e arrondissement and Pôle Supérieur 93 (Aubervilliers).
