During more than a thirty year career, Alexis Galpérine has performed as soloist and chamber musician in most European countries as well as Japan, Middle-East and United-States. As a soloist, he was the guest of orchestras such as the Lamoureux Concerts Orchestra, the philharmonic orchestra of Monte-Carlo, the symphonic and lyrical orchestra of Nancy, the orchestra of Provence-Cote d 'Azur, Lorraine philharmonic orchestra, the Jeunesses Musicales worldwide orchestra, the chamber orchestra of Cologne, the soloists from Sofia, the chamber orchestra of Belgrade, the theatre orchestra of Genoa, the American chamber orchestra and the Royal philharmonic orchestra.

Demanded chamber musician, he was requested by festivals such as the festival des Arcs, Nancyphonies, music programs in Lyons, the festival of the Orangerie de Sceaux and plays regularly on Radio-France. He performs with the Musicavanti and 2E2M ensembles. Attentive to contemporary music, Alexis Galpérine has created, especially with 2E2M, more than seventy works, he is dedicatee of many pieces. He is regularly involved in the concerts of the Ensemble Stanislas in Nancy and in the United-States, he is a founding member of the American chamber players, with whom he has given hundreds of concerts. The cinema regularly calls upon him, and he has written stage musical works.

His discography now has more than forty recordings, many are devoted to French music. Several of them have been acclaimed by critics (10 of Repertoire, Choc du Monde de la Musique.).

Winner of the Carl Flesch competition (London) and Paganini competition (Genoa), he won a first prize at the international competition of Belgrade after studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and the Juillard school in New York. His principal teachers were Ivan Galamian and Henryk Szering. He holds a Bachelor's degree in philosophy from the Sorbonne.

Alexis Galpérine has also a teaching career atthe Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. He gives master classes and has been invited to the University of Bloomington. Students come from around the world to follow his lessons. He participates as jury of prestigious international competitions. He is the author of renowned musicological articles and books.
