Born in Tokyo, she began her formal musical training at the age of three under Seizo and Fumiyo Matsuda and later studied under Mamoru Yanagawa. She attended the elementary, junior high, and high schools affiliated with Kunitachi College of Music before entering the college's piano department. She subsequently traveled to Europe and the United States to further hone her skills. Her performance career includes appearances at concerts featuring selected students from Kunitachi College of Music (solo and chamber music) and the "Evening of Promising Musicians" in Tokyo. She has performed concertos with the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra, Sendai New Philharmonic Orchestra, Gabrieli Chamber Ensemble, Gino Neri Ensemble (Italy), and Circolo Flora, among others. She has organized and presented numerous recitals and the "Saturday Salon Concert" series. She frequently collaborates with flutists, violinists, marimbists, clarinetists, and vocalists in various concert series, such as Arts Festival concerts, "Evening of Japanese Songs," "Memorable Japanese Songs," "Evening of French Music," "Evening of German Lieder," the complete Mozart concerto series, and "Muse's Dream" concerts. In addition to serving as a jury member for competitions such as the Europe International Piano Competition, the Chopin International Piano Competition (domestic finals and Asia qualifiers), and the Cincinnati World Piano Competition (USA), she conducts seminars and public masterclasses across Japan—from Hokkaido to Okinawa—in cities including Kushiro, Kitami, Aomori, Morioka, Yamagata, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Shizuoka, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Okinawa. She is also frequently invited to various locations—such as Chiba, Iga, Shizuoka, Fukui, Osaka, Takarazuka, Kyushu, and Miyakojima—to present "talk concerts" that include commentary. Her numerous awards include the PTNA Teacher Award, Toyota Teacher Award, Special Excellence Teacher Award at the Europe International Piano Competition in Japan, Teacher Award at the Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia, Teacher Awards at the All-Japan Piano Competition and Kanagawa Music Competition, "Excellence in Teaching" awards from Canada and Carnegie Hall, and the Arts Association Distinguished Service Award. Many of her students have won gold prizes at piano competitions both in Japan and abroad. Teaching at Tokiwagi Gakuen Music School, she is also a member of the Japan Piano Teachers Association, the Piano Teachers' National Association of Japan (PTNA), the Organizing Committee for the Chopin International Piano Competition in ASIA and the Japan Federation of Musicians
