Originally from the North, Stéphane André began the cello at the conservatory of Roubaix (59) in the class of Eric Watelle and studied music there until 1999 (Gold Medal for cello and 1st prize for improvement, Gold Medal of chamber music, Gold Medal for Musical Training...).
